NIMS以外の機関のユーザーが直接MDRにデータ登録できる「セルフ登録サービス」を2022年1月12日から試行的に開始いたしました。サービスの利用には法人契約が必要です。詳細は 連絡先 からお問い合わせください。

データ登録時に、上長から承認を得ていることを申告する方法がチェックボックス方式に変更されました。 Declaring that you have obtained necessary approval from your supervisor is now done through a checkbox in the form.

MDRの機能強化のため、今後メタデータの改訂（一部の項目の変更や廃止）を予定しております。詳しくは Dataset metadata および Publication metadata をご覧ください。 We are deprecating/changing some metadata fields to prepare for further development of MDR. See Dataset metadata and Publication metadata for details.

登録承認ワークフローの改善 Improvement of approval workflow

これまでのMDRでは、論文・データ等の登録後、本公開のためにMDR運営チームにメールで登録した work の URL をご連絡いただく必要がありました。今回の更新では承認フローを改善しました。登録時、直ちにMDRの管理者に通知され、公開がスムーズに進むよう改修しました。

Previously, users needed to email the MDR admins after depositing their work to make it public. In this update, we overhauled the workflow so that MDR admins will immediately be notified upon a new deposit request.

下書きとして保存 Save as draft

下書きとして一時保存する機能を追加しました。 We added a feature to allow temporarily saving your work as a draft.

書誌情報メタデータの改訂 Bibliographic metadata revision

メタデータについて下記の通り改訂しました。

  • Dataset型workに論文や発表スライドを付属させるケースなど、論文とデータの厳密な区別が難しい状況を踏まえ、以前はPublication型のみにあったJournal欄・Event (Conference)欄・Publisher欄をDataset型workにも追加し、以前はDataset型のみにあったResource type欄・Material/Specimen欄・Related item欄・Additional metadata欄をPublication型workにも追加し、両タイプの一貫性を向上させました。

  • Managing organization欄が追加されました。必須入力です。NIMS職員は「NIMS」と記入してください。

  • Rights statement欄・Published date欄が必須入力になりました。

  • Creator（著者等）の順序を指定できる機能を追加しました。Display order欄に表示順序を半角数字で記入してください。

  • Journal欄にISSN欄を追加しました。また、Manuscript type欄を追加しました。

  • フォーム内の説明書きを増やしました。

  • 検索結果一覧画面でのメタデータ表示を調整しました。

We've revised the metadata model as follows:

  • Considering the cases where dataset works also have journal paper PDFs or presentation slides in them, we've revised the metadata models so that there are less discrepancies between the publication and dataset work types. Dataset works now have fields for Journal, Event (Conference), and Publisher, which were only available for publications. Meanwhile, publication works now have fields for Resource type, Material/Specimen, Related item, and Additional metadata, which were only available for datasets.

  • A new required field "Managing organization" has been added. NIMS personnel should enter "NIMS". Users who are depositing content under a contract between their organization and NIMS should enter the name of their organization.

  • Rights statements and published date are now required.

  • Creator order can now be specified. Enter the order as numerals into the display order field.

  • "ISSN" field has been added to Journal metadata. "Manuscript type" drop-down menu has been added.

  • Added more hints in the form.

  • The choice of metadata being shown on the search result catalog has been revised.

  • Item数が多い場合に生じていた一括ZIPダウンロード機能の不具合の修正 Fixed a bug where Download all files (ZIP) was not working properly for works with a large number of items

  • フォームへの説明書きの追加Added explanations to the metadata form

  • CSVプレビュー機能の過度なエラー報告を修正 Suppressed excessive error reporting by the CSV previewer.

Work表示のデザインを改善し、アクセシビリティを向上させました。その他細部を調整しました。 Work views have been redesigned to improve accessibility. Other minor fixes.

October 2020

MDRシステムをアップデートしました。

  • Itemのファイルサイズが表示されるようになりました。

  • 一括ダウンロード機能で、長いファイル名を持つファイルが含まれているとダウンロードに失敗する問題を修正しました。

  • 一括ダウンロード機能で、ファイルに不要な改行コードが追加される問題を修正しました。

  • Webブラウザの「戻る」ボタンを押したときに、CSVビューワが正しく表示されない問題を修正しました。

  • その他軽微な修正を実施しました。

The MDR system has been updated:

  • Items now show their filesizes.

  • We fixed an issue where items with long filenames could not be downloaded using the Download All Files button.

  • We fixed an issue where items downloaded using the Download All Files contained an extra newline code appended at the end.

  • We fixed an issue where the UI elements in the CSV previewer was not displayed correctly when navigating back using the browser's back button.

  • Other minor fixes.

国立研究開発法人 物質・材料研究機構(NIMS)　統合型材料開発・情報基盤部門　材料データプラットフォームセンターは、 材料分野におけるデータ駆動型研究の促進に貢献する「Materials Data Repository (MDR)」を、2020年6月15日から公開しました。

研究成果の公開は、論文や学会発表という形で行われてきましたが、近年はそれらをサポートするデータとあわせて公開したり、あるいはデータそのものを単独で公開することにより、データのさらなる利活用をはかることが重要になってきています。 MDRは、論文や学会発表資料等および付随する材料データを収集・保存し、物質・材料研究の推進やマテリアルズ・インフォマティクスに適した形で蓄積・公開するためのデータリポジトリです。ユーザーは、試料・装置・手法などの情報（メタデータ）や収録データ全文から、必要とする文献やデータを検索し、自由に閲覧やデータのダウンロードをすることができます。ユーザー登録は不要、利用料は無料です。

現在は、NIMSおよび関連機関の材料データの収集を開始しており、随時掲載するデータの拡充を行います。将来的には、契約機関や一般ユーザーからのデータを収集・保存し、材料データのさらなる蓄積を進める予定です。

Materials Data Platform Center, Research and Services Division of Materials Data and Integrated System (MaDIS), at the National Institute of Materials Science (NIMS) released the "Materials Data Repository (MDR)" on June 15th, 2020, to contribute to the promotion of the data-driven research in the materials science field.

Publication of research results has been done by publishing papers and presenting at conferences. However, further use of the data is becoming increasingly important by releasing the supporting data with the research results or by releasing the data by itself independently.

MDR is a data repository to collect and store papers, presentation materials, and related materials data to accumulate and release them in a form suitable for the promotion of materials research and materials informatics. Users can search the documents and the data from information (metadata) such as sample, instrument, method, and from the full text of the deposited data, to browse and download them freely. User registration is not required and there is no charge for use.

Materials data are being collected from NIMS and related institutes and will be posted to expand the data as they become available. In the future, data from cooperating organizations and the general users will be collected and stored to further accumulate materials data.
